Subject: Opening of Zero Balance Bank Accounts in Bank of Baroda of District, BRC, CRC, SMC, SMDC (SMDC and VE) KGBV-GOI.
As per the approval referred to in the notes of the Accounts Branch, Zero Balance Bank Accounts are to be opened in Bank of Baroda of District, BRC, CRC, SMC, SMDC (SMDC and VE) KGBV-GOI in all districts for Samagra Shiksha Yojana (60:40), District Project Coordinators of all districts are hereby instructed to open bank accounts of their respective district child agencies in consultation with Bank of Baroda.
Under Samagra Shiksha, SNA is required to open two bank accounts as per the instructions of the government. In which the “SNA” bank account and “Holding” bank account are to be opened separately. The details of which are as follows.
Thus, the work of opening one “ZBA” account and another “Holding” account at the District, BRC, CRC, SMC, SMDC, and KMC levels is to be carried out.
Instructions::
01. A maximum of 75 words can be used in the name under which the account is to be opened at Bank of Baroda.
For example, the details of the account's name eligible to be opened at the district level are as follows.
01 District:: DPC GANDHINAGAR SNA GUJ GOI
02 BRC:: BRC DEHGAM GANDHINAGAR SNA GUJ GOI
03 CRC:: CRC PALUNDRA DEHGAM GANDHINAGAR SNA GUJ GOI
04 SMC-SMDC:: SMC ANGUTHALA PRI SCL NAND DEHG GAND SNA GUJ GOI
:: SMDC GOVT HI ER SEC SCL DAHEGAM DEHG DEHG GAND SNA GUJ GOI
05 KGBV:: KMC KGBV PATDI PATD PATD SNAG SNA GUJ GOI
02. The District Project Coordinators shall decide the place, date, and time for opening Zero Balance Accounts and Holding Accounts at District, BRC, and CRC Levels under the SSA Scheme. In consultation with the Bank of Baroda, they shall organize camps if necessary by 31 May 2025 and complete the account opening work on priority.
03. District-wise, camps will be organized for Zero Balance Account and Holding Account of schools (SMC, SMDC, VE and KGBV-GOI) as per the need and the work of opening the accounts will have to be completed on priority by 30th June 2025.
04. Regarding account opening, the name, and contact number of the employees/officials of the district level of Bank of Baroda and the check-list of necessary documents for account opening have been received from the bank. Which is included herewith.
Keeping in view all the above matters, the process of opening Zero Balance Account and Holding Account at the district level, BRC, CRC level and school level (SMC, SMDC, VE and KGBV-GOI) will have to be completed expeditiously within the above time limit in coordination with Bank of Baroda.
