In the year 2023, the Balwatika class was started in primary schools of the state as a part of the implementation of the Balwatika resolution published by the state government.
As part of the preparation for Balwatikavarga, the Balwatika Sahitya has been produced by the GCERT Institute with the support and guidance of experts in the field of pre-primary education and primary education from across the state and based on the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundation Stage (NCF-FS) and Master India's study findings, including the Balwatika Teacher's Guide as well as Student Activities (Part 1 and Part 2) have been prepared. To make this literature useful in the classroom, the teachers of Balwatika have ensured quality basic education through intensive training.

Research from around the world shows that 85% of children's brains are developed before the age of 6. Hence, Balwatika-1 (3 to 4 years), Balwatika-2 (4 to 5 years), and Balwatika-3 (5 to 6 years) years as very important years in the new structure of education in National Education Policy 2020 to provide excellent quality basic education.

Accepted. In addition, Balwatika-3 has been accepted as an important link between pre-primary education and primary education with the aim of preparing the child for future school education during pre-primary education itself.
